Since 6 months after being diagnosed with such a horrible disease, I was & am still struggling with Clinical Depression.
Of course, I am quick to point out that I never had any "depression" before my diagnosis. I was completely "normal", as normal as anyone can be at age 14.
My typical thoughts & actions reflect how I feel deep down. I feel worthless, as though there may really be no cure & I'll have to live my life with horrific events taking place daily.
I'm sure that you are almost unable to imagine a world where life's most simplest pleasures are indefinitely out of reach. These pleasures being no more than just simple laughter or even a chance to take your pet for a walk.
These simple pleasures that I am entitled to, have been taken away by such a malicious disease in which no one seems to care enough about in order to help.
It is formally documented that my disease is more harmful to ones quality of life than that of skin cancer, but because the disease is not deadly in and of itself, it seems no one cares to know.
